Lanfine Wind Energy Project

Pattern Development is proposing the development of the Lanfine North and Lanfine South Wind Power Projects in the vicinity of Oyen, Alberta. Pattern Development acquired the Lanfine North and Lanfine South Wind Power Projects from BowArk Energy. The project is located to the South and West of Oyen, and will be up to 290 megawatts (MW) in capacity. The project will be constructed in two phases: Lanfine North (up to 150 MW) and Lanfine South (up to 140 MW). Each phase will have separate project collector substations and interconnection points. The project will be in Special Area 3 and the Municipal District of Acadia on approximately 45,000 acres of private land. Pattern will request signoff from the Special Areas Board, the Municipal District of Acadia, Alberta Environment and Parks, and will request approval from the Alberta Utilities Commission for the project. Pattern intends to submit this project into the upcoming Alberta Electric System Operator’s (AESO) Renewable Energy Procurement.
